About Me

I have been involved in music and sound since 1990. My work environments have been varied. I have worked in stage sound, live performance, studio recording, karaoke, deejaying, entertainment hosting, and radio. Music is a passion of my life, and has been something I have enjoyed for many, many years, and hopefully many more to come.

I got my start in high school as a sound engineer my freshman year mixing sound for the stage shows put on. I learned sound engineering as a backstage engineer and feel might comfortable and confident with my ability to mix “behind the sound” as it were. Don’t get me wrong, I know the best place to be is front of house, and always test the FOH sound before finalizing settings.

My freshman summer I was a cast member in a local theater production of “Grease”. It was my first glimpse of being ‘on stage’ as a role and got excited about it and my ability. From there it only went forward and upward. By the time my senior year of highschool ended I had been a part of 16 different productions. My roles were varied, from dance roles, to small solos, and then onward to lead roles. My “crowning achievement” of high school roles was being the Phantom in our production of “Phantom of the Opera”.

After high school, I was afraid to pursue music as my career, especially music theater. And I fell out of the scene starting to work in the technology industry. Music was always a part of me somehow though, it was rare that I wasn’t listening to it.

In 1999 I moved to Bremerton on a silly whim. After landing here a month or two later I found myself as an intern at a local am radio station. After learning the ropes I took on the role of production for commercials and engineering for the biggest show on the station. As usual though, good things come to an end and the station sold. The new owner eventually began piping in satellite feed to save money and we were onward looking for our next role.

I’ve worked in entertainment as a karaoke host, emcee, and deejay. I’ve done consulting work for sound setups in new establishments, as well as engineered live shows of various music styles and genres.

I have worked on gear from massive table mixers to small 6 channel boards. From effects heavy setups down to dry live production.

I always find myself coming back to it, and here I am again.
